defying divination

 I aspire to obliterate my credence to the stars,

So, I can sleep tight without this intense pondering at night

thinking the heavenly bodies might be precise–

when they told me, 

they’ve seen it the moment I first saw the sun rise.

But, persistence and eagerness runs

to combat what’s written in my palms,

I would eternally hex the whole universe if ever I got defeated by these stars.
